"There's no better way to discover the smooth, gentle perfection of vodka than with a vodka martini. It is by ratio vodka to vermouth and based on your personal preference. I like mine 3 parts vodka to 1 part dry vermouth and a twist of lemon."

What is a vodka martini?

So, we know the classic martini is part gin, part dry vermouth, but what about the vodka martini? This cocktail is pretty much a simple take on the classic. But made with just two ingredients plus a garnish. It's worth mentioning that creating the perfect vodka martini largely depends on individual taste.

How to make a vodka martini

This is the classic recipe for a vodka martini. You can change or adapt it based on your own personal taste by adding more or less dry vermouth.

Classic vodka martini

INGREDIENTS

60ml Ketel One vodka

 20ml Belsazar Dry Vermouth

GARNISH

1 dash orange bitters or twist of lemon

METHOD

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir for 20 rotations (about 30 seconds) until it's well chilled and diluted. Strain neat into a chilled martini or cocktail glass, and garnish with a twist of lemon or your preferred garnish.

"Why not serve olives, onions, or other non-citrus peel garnishes on the side of your cocktail?"
